About
MSGA

Serving Manitoba seed growers, MSGA is one of six regional associations that work together with the Canadian Seed Growers' Association to ensure varietal purity and seed quality standards for producers.

About MSGA

Established in 1928, the Manitoba Seed Growers’ Association (MSGA) is an incorporated, non-profit organization, that serves our approximately 500 pedigreed seed growers across Manitoba.

Committed to excellence in pedigreed seed production, MSGA also advocates the benefits of certified seed to our commercial producer customers.

In 2023, MSGA growers produced approximately 303,000 acres of pedigreed seed in over 22 crop kinds. A valuable part of Manitoba’s agriculture economy, Manitoba’s seed industry contributes approximately $700 million.
